Jackson-Madsion County Regional Health Department and Madison County Fire Department Launch Mobile App

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department and Madison County Fire Department announced the release of a new smartphone application in a Monday morning news release.

The free mobile app will serve as a new way for the health and fire departments to connect with Madison County residents and visitors. “The new app allows us to get information out quickly and efficiently to anyone with a smartphone,” Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department Regional Director Kim Tedford said.

“The Madison County Fire Department is excited to be one of the first in our state to offer an app to help keep our community informed,” Madison County Fire Chief Eric Turner said.

The app offers quick access to items of public interest and is easy to use. In just a few clicks, users can:

·         View community outreach information

·         Access COVID-19 resources 

·         View environmental health information 

·         Receive instant push notifications

·         Access a map view of local station locations

·         Search staff directories

·         Connect to each organization’s social media platforms

·         Access immunizations and emergency preparedness resources

·         Read the latest news and events

·         Join the fire department and sign up for classes

The Madison County Fire & Health Department mobile app was created by OCVApps, a division of OCV, LLC, which specializes in mobile app development for public safety and law enforcement organizations across the country.
