TN Dept. Of Health Reports Over 890 New Cases Of COVID-19 and Over 2,230 Deaths

There are over 890 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Monday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.

As of 2 p.m. Monday, there are 184,409 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 895 additional cases since Sunday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 15 additional deaths to 2,233.

There have been 166,674 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.

A total of 693 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized.

A total of 2,673,187 tests have been taken, which is 12,181 more since Sunday’s report.
