There are over 1,905 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Tuesday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, there are 251,774 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 1,908 additional cases since Monday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 44 additional deaths to 3,207.
There have been 222,348 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 1,223 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized, which is an decrease of 96 hospitalizations.
A total of 3,572,591 tests have been taken, which is 16,504 more since Monday’s report.
