The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 27 more cases of COVID-19, according to a Saturday morning news release from the department. There are now 1,372 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
The newest confirmed cases include 9 males, 18 females, and range from ages 11 to 75.
The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Twenty-two Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
The release said 915 Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and 58 people say they are feeling better.
The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
