The Theta Iota Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. will be conducting a “Feed the Community” event in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a news release.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. August 11 at The Omega House, located at 340 North Hays Avenue, in Jackson, Tenn. In case of rain, the event will be held at T.R. White Sportsplex.

The fraternity chapter will hand out food items for 500 families that are in need.

During this time of uncertainty for many families, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Theta Iota Chapter said in the release that it “believes that it is important that we provide assistant to our community members that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
