This morning, we’ll visit with Dr. Shari Baldwin, principal at South Side High School. She’ll recap her first semester in the big seat, and provide an overview of the exciting programs and activities at the South Jackson campuses.
This week we’re visiting with Shannon Davis - Principal of Alexander Elementary School…we’ll discuss innovative steps Principal Davis and her team are taking to increase academic growth and leadership opportunities among the student body at Alexander - Also, Evette Nesbitt, a member of our district’s family support team will tell us how Leaders Credit Union and other community partners are assisting families in need this holiday season.
This week we will visit with Tiffany Spight, Chief Academic Officer for the Jackson Madison County Schools. We’ll discuss her journey through the field of education and talk about her efforts at the district office. We’ll also provide our stakeholders with an update on where we are as a district concerning the state’s 3rd grade retention law.
Students in the Jackson-Madison County School System are enjoying their last days of summer as the new school year kicks off on Monday, August 7th. However, many of our school and department leaders have already returned to make sure the first semester of school is a success - that includes our food service team.
