A trio of North Side High School students who attended the Tennessee FCCLA State Leadership Conference has qualified for the National FCCLA Leadership Conference! We'll catch up with North Side FCCLA advisor Kimba A. Sears and two standout students to recap the big event. Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for students enrolled in Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education programs at public and private schools. FCCLA offers intracurricular resources and opportunities for students pursuing careers that strengthen families.
This week we will visit with Tiffany Spight, Chief Academic Officer for the Jackson Madison County Schools. We’ll discuss her journey through the field of education and talk about her efforts at the district office. We’ll also provide our stakeholders with an update on where we are as a district concerning the state’s 3rd grade retention law.
This week we’re visiting Madison Academic! English teacher Sara Billingsley, Class president Ximena Acosta and Governors School alumna Beth Myers discuss the upcoming 20th Year Celebration as well as Madison’s Top 10 schools in the state of Tennessee and Level 5 status.
