Well, it’s the season for - Open Enrollment. That’s right - it’s time for 8th graders to select their high schools; and it’s also time for students in other grades to consider magnet programs and speciality schools throughout the district. To assist us in this conversation, we’ve invited Rhonda Heard Bigham, District Advisor for Counseling and Open Enrollment, Katrina Taylor, Innovation Impact Coordinator, and Heather Denham, Professional School Counselor at Rose Hill Pre-K Schools.
This week we will preview the kickoff of our Leap Up for Literacy campaign. This is the second year of Leap Up for Literacy in the Jackson-Madison County School System. Academic coordinator, Jennifer Wells and East Elementary instructional coach Jill Tanner will join us for the conversation.
This week we'll check out the JMCSS production of The Little Mermaid at Liberty Technology High School...we’ll introduce you to members of the cast, plus - you’ll hear from Superintendent Dr. Marlon King as we recap the JMCSS Gala which raised $100,000 dollars for special projects - we’re very thankful to Leaders Credit Union and all of our community partners for participating.
