The National Weather Service in Memphis issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook Wednesday morning which stated that severe thunderstorms would be possible Thursday across the Mid-South.
NWS said hail will be the primary threat for morning thunderstorms across areas north of I-40. Severe weather will be most likely during the afternoon and evening hours across the Mid-South on Thursday., damaging winds will be the main threat and possibly a few tornadoes.
Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible on Thursday as a cold front approaches the region from the west. A Marginal (1/5) to Slight (2/5) Risk currently exist across the Mid-South.
