Fly through a starlit London night and dive headfirst into a magical adventure in Neverland in Ballet Arts of Jackson’s Peter Pan. This ballet is filled with pixie dust and all your favorite characters, from Tinkerbell to the Lost Boys, to Captain Hook and his swashbuckling pirates. With all of its energy and humor, Peter Pan will delight the child in us all.

“Our dancers have been preparing for this performance since the beginning of January and they are thrilled to share what they’ve learned and accomplished with a live audience.” said Caroline Meinert, Artistic Director Ballet Arts. “Being able to bring professional quality ballets to the stage in West Tennessee is a privilege we do not take lightly. We’ve learned from past artists, that it’s often at events like this that a child’s heart is inspired to dream for more. Our hope is that through our hard work, we can inspire you to dream bigger, too.”

Tickets are available for purchase at balletartsjackson.org or at Special Occasions at 188 Commerce Center Circle in Jackson. Peter Pan will have three performances on Saturday, March 19 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. and on Sunday, March 20 at 2 p.m. Select seating is $20, choice seating is $25 and premium seating is $30.

Before entering Neverland come and enjoy some delectable treats at the Tinker Bell Tea Party on Saturday, March 19 at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 20 at 12:30 p.m. Party goers will visit and take photos with some of their favorite characters from Peter Pan. Don’t miss this sweet event that is sure to delight the smallest dreamers.

This year’s performance is sponsored by the Jackson Arts Council, Tennessee Arts Commission, VIP Jackson, Froggy 104.1, Thomas Media, The Jackson Symphony, Allegra, WBBJ, WNBJ NBC Chanel 39, Viamedia and Elite Signs.

About Ballet Arts

Ballet Arts exists to provide the youth of West Tennessee with an opportunity to develop character, life skills, integrity and independence through the study of and participation in classical ballet. We strive to enrich the cultural life of the community through outstanding performances and outreach programs.

Since 1973, Ballet Arts has enriched the lives of thousands of dancers and patrons and is a staple in the arts community in West Tennessee. The company produces two annual performances including the longest running Nutcracker in West Tennessee and a spring performance. The program gives students the opportunity to train and perform in front of a 2,200 seat audience while also dancing alongside professional dancers from companies like American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and Paris Opera Ballet.
