The Jackson-Madison County Library is hosting a Books of Madison County Book Fest at the Jackson-Madison County Main Library on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.

The library will welcome local authors with ties to Jackson-Madison County to meet and greet the public, share book talks on their work, and have their books available for sale. This program is a part of the Jackson-Madison County Bicentennial celebration and coincides with September’s theme of Education, Arts & Culture.

“We are excited to host this event and connect our local authors with our local community,” said Dinah Harris, Library Director. “There are so many talented writers with strong connections to the Jackson-Madison County area and September’s celebration of Education, Arts & Culture for the Bicentennial is the perfect time to place a spotlight on these authors.”

“The library’s Writers Club is thrilled to be a part of this event with a few of our members having been published and participating as local authors!” said Shayne Plunk, Adult Services Librarian. “It will be great to have our writers connecting with the local community and getting to share their work.”

The Jackson-Madison County Library is located at 433 E. Lafayette St. in downtown. For more information, contact the Library at 731-425-8600, visit the Library’s Facebook page at Facebook.com/JMCLibrary or its website at www.jmclibrary.org
