Health Dept. Confirms Additional COVID-19 Death, Over 590 New COVID-19 Cases in Madison County Since Sept. 3

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 60-year-old male died Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, due to complications from COVID-19, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the department. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 263 in Madison County.

The health department has received positive test results for 593 more cases of COVID-19 since Friday, Sept. 3, 2021. There is now a cumulative total of 16,146 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
