20th Recognition Commemoration in Remembrance of September 11, 2001

 The City of Jackson and VFW Post 6496 will host the 20th Recognition Commemoration in Remembrance of September 11, 2001, Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 12 p.m. in front of Jackson City Hall, 101 E. Main St., Jackson, Tenn.

Keynote speakers will include Volunteer Red Cross First Responders David and Debra Martin.

A wreath-laying service will be held in remembrance of all who perished on September 11, 2001, and for those in uniform who lost their lives in the war on terrorism.

Bell Honors ceremony to toll 11 times – one for each of our nation’s major conflicts.

As a prelude to the event, The City of Jackson and VFW Post 6496 are requesting all houses of worship participate in the 20th recognition of 9/11 ceremony by the ringing of bells to honor families of victims killed in the World Trade Center attacks.
