The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms three additional COVID-19 related deaths and over 260 new COVID-19 cases since Friday, Aug. 6, according to a Tuesday morning news release. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 243 in Madison County. The newest deaths include:
- 76-year-old male (died 8/6/21)
- 77-year-old male (died 8/7/21)
- 79-year-old female (died 8/7/21)
The health department has received positive test results for 266 more cases of COVID-19 since Friday, Aug. 6, 2021. There is now a cumulative total of 12,593 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
