The Jackson Police Department has charged two people in the June 4 North Parkway homicide, according to a Friday morning news release. A third suspect is being sought.
JPD Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 1341 North Parkway last Friday evening, June 4, 2021, around 8:20 p.m.
When officers arrived they found 18-year-old Tanyarris Maxwell lying on the ground with gunshot wounds.
Maxwell was transported by EMS to Jackson Madison County General Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
JPD investigators have charged two of the three suspects responsible for Maxwell’s murder.
Nicholas Ivie, 19, and Kevon Womack, 21, have been arrested and were arraigned Friday, June 11, in Jackson City Court on first-degree murder charges.
Investigators need assistance locating the third suspect, Quadarious Greer, 19.

The Jackson Police Department is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of Greer.
