Jackson Police, Tennessee Highway Patrol, United States Marshals, and Madison County Community Corrections conducted a multi-agency street operation Thursday, April 29 through Saturday, May 1, to disrupt and apprehend individuals involved in criminal activity, according to a Monday afternoon news release from the Jackson Police Department.

Jackson Police, along with the aforementioned agencies, conducted a multi-agency operation that focused specifically on criminal activity, gang activity, and traffic violators in the City of Jackson.  All agencies working together made 38 arrests and issued multiple citations during the multi-agency operation.  Officers seized multiple firearms and drugs during the operation.  Officers also conducted home checks on people on probation; served outstanding warrants; and conducted criminal interdiction.

“On behalf of Chief Wiser, the Jackson Police Department appreciates our community partnerships that work tirelessly to make Jackson a safer community,” the release stated.  “We, the members of the Jackson Police Department and these other agencies, will continue to address the issues associated with crime through community policing and the development of co-active partnerships with the community. “
