Jackson Police Chief, Julian Wiser, recognized David Cole and Michael Carter with a letter and a Department Challenge Coin for their assistance in locating 11-year-old Logan Cotton last Saturday.
Logan went missing from his residence on Chester Levee Rd Saturday, March 6. In a combined effort between First Responders and the community, Logan was found unharmed. Specifically, it was David Cole and Michael Carter that located Logan. While using their horses, they were able to traverse challenging and time consuming terrain to locate Logan unharmed.
According to Chief Wiser, “this agency is extremely grateful that Mr. Carter and Cole recognized the severity of the situation and availed themselves and their resources to locate Logan. Their resources and timely decision of getting involved may have been the difference between Logan’s safe return and tragedy.”
Jackson Police recognizes that the citizens are the department’s greatest resource. Jackson Police are also grateful for all citizens who participated in locating Logan.
