Health Department Confirms Additional COVID-19 Death in Madison County

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 55-year-old male died Dec. 29 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 138 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for 141 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 8,612 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 1 month to 91.

Epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twenty-eight Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Five of those patients are on a ventilator.
