Health Department Confirms Five Additional COVID-19 Deaths, 4,073 Cases in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms five additional COVID-19 related deaths in Madison County, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the department. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 83 in Madison County. The newest deaths include:

  • 73-year-old male (died 10/11/2020)
  • 69-year-old female (died 10/27/2020)
  • 55-year-old male (died 10/27/2020)
  • 95-year-old female (died 10/29/2020)
  • 82-year-old female (died 10/31/2020)

The health department received positive test results for 44 more cases of COVID-19. There are now 4,073 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 7 months to 78.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Fifteen Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Three of those patients are on a ventilator.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
