
There are over 1,760 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Sunday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
As of 2 p.m. Sunday, there are 164,126 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 1,764 additional cases since Saturday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 3 additional deaths to 1,865.
There have been 145,359 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 819 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized.
A total of 2,326,868 tests have been taken, which is 20,836 more since Saturday’s report.
