Due to a staff member testing positive for COVID 19, the Jackson-Madison County Library’s North Branch will modify its hours and services through Sept. 1, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the library.
The North Branch will be completely closed through Thurs., Aug. 20 to allow all materials to quarantine for the recommended 72 hours. Beginning Fri., Aug. 21, patrons can pick up items on hold during the hours of 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. No other services will be offered during these limited hours of operation. Patrons needing to send faxes or have copies made are encouraged to visit the Main Library.
The library will continue to waive all overdue fines for all materials; however, items can continue to be returned in the drop boxes outside the North Branch. Currently, the Main Library is open for curbside services Mon. – Fri. from 9 a.m. until noon and from 9 a.m. – 5 pm on Saturday. Patrons can enter the Main Library on the College St. side of the building to browse the collection or to use the computer lab from noon until 6 p.m. Mon. – Thurs. and from noon until 5 p.m. on Friday.
