There are over 1,285 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Saturday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
As of 2 p.m. Saturday, there are 131,747 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 1,289 additional cases since Friday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 13 additional deaths to 1,326.
There have been 92,100 recoveries, 777 more since Friday. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 5,813 people with COVID-19 have been hospitalized, but the department noted that while the number indicates the number of patients that were ever hospitalized during their illness, it does not indicate the number of patients currently hospitalized.
A total of 1,827,520 tests have been taken, which is 17,620 more since Friday’s report.
