Jackson Police are investigating a Friday afternoon shooting which left one man dead and another man in stable condition, according to a late Friday night new release from JPD.
The release said around 1:45 pm Friday, JPD officers were called to a large disturbance in the area of 100 Lincoln Courts involving several people fighting and possibly armed. As officers were responding to the area a shooting occurred. Officers located an adult male victim who had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later was pronounced deceased. A second adult male gunshot victim was located on N. Highland Ave. and was transported to the hospital. This victim was taken to surgery and is currently listed in stable condition.
