Health Department Confirms 1559 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 31 more cases of COVID-19 according to Director Kim Tedford. There are now 1,559 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases include 18 males, 12 females, 1 unknown, and range from ages 8 to 76.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Fifteen Madison County residents are currently hospitalized.

a release from the department stated that 998 Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and 64 people say they are feeling better.
