Six Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
Tedford said there are people in the hospital fighting for their lives and that the community must do its part to flatten the curve by wearing their masks, social distancing and washing their hands.
“We’ve got to do better,” Tedford said.
Tedford also said there are several cases of Community spread: two churches have numerous positive cases and several businesses have two or more cases and several young people have tested positive.
The department said 208 Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and 19 people say they are feeling better.
Officials said they are talking about making wearing masks mandatory and that you can expect the mandate to come in the coming days.
