HEALTH DEPARTMENT CONFIRMS 185 CASES OF COVID-19 IN MADISON COUNTY

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for five more confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the health department. There are now 185 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The most recent cases include:

  • a 15-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a 62-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 47-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 45-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 48-year-old female (hospitalized)

The release sai the department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to people who had close contact with these individuals.

Three Madison County residents are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.

The release said 170 Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and six people say they are feeling better.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
