The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for three more confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, according to Kim Tedford, executive director of the Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department. Madison County now has 159 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
The most recent cases are all employees at local long-term care facilities, Tedford said. They include:
- a 46-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- a 62-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- a 37-year-old female (not hospitalized)
The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to people who had contact with these patients.
Four Madison County residents are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, two of those patients are on ventilators.
Tedford said 129 Madison County resident have recovered from COVID-19 and 10 people say they are feeling better.
