
There were 228 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Tennessee as of 2 p.m. Friday, according to the Tennessee Department of Health’s website. The TN Dept. of Health State Public Health Laboratory has completed 613 tests, with 563 testing negative and 50 testing positive. All other commercial and private laboratories reported 178 tested positive, with no other data (tests completed and negative tests) available.
Those 188 who have tested positive are from 26 different counties in Tennessee, while 40 are from outside Tennessee, stats from the Health Department show. Davidson County has the highest confirmed cases with 101 reported, with Williamson County at 35 confirmed cases.

61-70: 16
71-80: 13

While no cases have been reported in Madison County, Mayor Jimmy Harris declared a State of Emergency for the county on a cloudy Friday morning outside of the Madison County Courthouse.
Harris said nightclubs and bars have been ordered to close and effective immediately, restaurants in the county have been ordered to operate at 50% capacity limits.
Harris’ declaration follows the City of Jackson Mayor Scott Conger’s March 19 declaration and Conger’s amended declaration on March 19, which put similar precautionary measures in place.
