Jackson-Madison County School System employees are grateful for the many community partners who assist schools in our mission to provide service and support to students and families. The employees of Delta Faucet Company in Jackson rallied during April and Autism Awareness Month to raise funds to provide support for students living with autism.
Delta Faucet leaders contacted district representatives to donate to our Special Education Department. The check presentation was held this week.
These funds will allow us to build on the activities and support we’re providing our students. We are forever grateful for this financial assistance for our students and programs and the sentiment in which it was raised. Jackson continues to be a community with a big heart!
“We wanted to donate the money to the Jackson-Madison County School System to help any autistic children who might have some needs that need to be met,” said Malinda Mills, HR Specialist with Delta Faucet. “We help with St. Jude and the American Cancer Society, but autism seems to be growing and we wanted to focus on autism,” Mills said.

JMCSS Chief Academic Officer Dr. Tiffany Spight, JMCSS Assistant Director of Special Services Jennifer Ballard, and JMCSS Director of Special Services Bernice Thompson joined Delta Faucet staff for the presentation.
The Special Education Department (SPED) held several STEP (Supporting Training and Engaging Parents of Students with Disabilities) sessions this year to raise awareness and support for students and families. Parents are encouraged to use the Let’s Talk platform to share questions or request information for our SPED team. https://www.jmcss.org/letstalk
