The National Weather Service in Memphis said early Monday morning that a WIND ADVISORY from 3 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2024, until 12 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2024.
South winds are expected to be between 25 to 30 miles per hour, with wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour.
This advisory effects portions of West Tennessee, East Arkansas, North Mississippi and Southeast Missouri.
NWS said gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may occur.
According to NWS, you should take the following precautions: use extra caution while driving, especially if you’re operating a high-profile vehicle.
You should also secure outdoor objects.
