ROWNSVILLE, Tennessee – West Tennessee Bank recently unveiled its new branch in Brownsville with a community celebration. The event drew nearly 200 attendees, including local residents, business owners and community leaders to the new 3,000-square-foot facility located at 1489 E Main Street.
Kirk Goehring, division president of West Tennessee Bank and chief credit officer of Decatur County Bank, noted that the Brownsville branch was thoughtfully designed, reflecting the agricultural heartbeat of the town. It features an expansive drive-through lane, ideal for accommodating 18-wheelers, as well as spacious parking areas for large farm equipment. “Our upcoming branches in Germantown and Collierville will also sport our signature brick-color design, offering a familiar and welcoming ambiance for our customers,” Goehring said.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony saw the participation of Brownsville Haywood County Chamber of Commerce board members Gem Bell and Leonard Jones. Both expressed enthusiasm about working with West Tennessee Bank Community President JoAnna Morris. Morris shared, “I’m elated to be back in my hometown, working collaboratively to uplift our business community, civic and social clubs, school system and the residents of Brownsville and Haywood County.”
Jay England, president and CEO of West Tennessee Bank, emphasized the bank’s commitment to the region. “We are here because of the people. Thank you for your support, and in turn, we promise to support you,” England said to the crowd.
Local leaders shared their optimism about the new Brownsville. Crye-Leike Principal Broker Ann Gardner remarked, “The new branch ushers in a plethora of business opportunities.” In addition, Sheree Douglas, executive assistant at the Brownsville Haywood County Chamber of Commerce, viewed the new branch as a symbol of progress. “West Tennessee Bank’s commitment to Brownsville heralds a promising future for job security and the overall prosperity of our community,” she commented.
