The meeting will cover the proposed concepts and strategies included in our grant application for Jackson. The purpose of this grant aligns closely with the City’s efforts to eliminate barriers to housing security, particularly for low-to-moderate-income families. The City of Jackson’s application will request the maximum amount allowed of $10 million. As dictated by the grant requirements, eligible activities must identify and seek to remove one or more barriers to affordable housing production and preservation.
The action plan will be available for 15 days for public comment starting October 13, 2023, before the action plan is submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for consideration. The plan will be available on here https://www.jacksontn.gov/government/communications/public_notices___press_releases/prohousinggrantpublichearing.
Cyber Café at Water Tower Place is an accessible facility with ground-level entry and access to the meeting room. We will have a translator available if needed.
