Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible across the Mid-South through mid-afternoon Tuesday. Much of the area is in a slight risk for severe weather, but the greatest risk will be across north Mississippi. Damaging wind will be the primary threat but a few tornadoes are possible as well.
Strong south to southwest winds are expected through late afternoon. Winds will increase to 20 to 25 mph with gusts to around 40 mph at times. A wind advisory is in effect for all of the Mid-South through 7 p.m.
