Health Dept. Confirms Additional COVID-19 Death, Over 40 New Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County Since Friday

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms an 85-year-old female died Oct. 22, 2021 due to complications from COVID-19, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the department. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 312 in Madison County.

The health department has received positive test results for 46 more cases of COVID-19 since Friday, Oct. 22, 2021. There is now a cumulative total of 18,247 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
