U.S. Marshals Service Joins JPD and TN Dept. of Corrections’ Search for Jackson Homicide Suspect With Violent History

The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (Jackson, Tenn.) has issued an updated WANTED poster for Randell Lee Rose as they join two other departments in the hun for the homicide suspect with a violent history.

Rose is wanted for first-degree murder and violation of community supervision, the U.S. Marshals Service said. The updated poster offers a reward up to $2500 for information leading to Rose’s apprehension. Rose, who is 5 feet and 4 inches tall, and weighing approximately 180 pounds, was last seen fleeing the scene in a wooded area between Old Hickory Blvd. and North Parkway.

Randall Lee Rose is wanted by the U.S. Marshals, the Jackson Police Department and the Tennessee Department of Corrections for first-degree murder and violation of community supervision for life (sex offender registry).

The U.S. Marshals Service said Rose has a violent criminal history with prior arrests and convictions for rape, aggravated assault, firearms charges, burglary and evading arrest. Rose typically resides in homeless camps in urban areas.

Rose should be considered armed and dangerous. Law enforcement should use extreme caution when approaching rose. A reward of up to $2500 is being offered by the U.S. Marshals service for information leading to his apprehension.

According to the Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry, Rose was convicted of rape in 1983 and 2013.

The Jackson Police Department is still investigating the homicide of Mary Kelly, a 70-year-old woman, who was killed around 9 p.m. Saturday, September 25 around on Hollywood Drive, according to a news release from the department. JPD said it responded to a report of an assault taking place at 2051 Hollywood Drive around 9 p.m. Saturday, September 25.
