The Jackson Police Department currently has a suspect in custody for a Tuesday night homicide that occurred at 216 Roosevelt Parkway, Parkway East Apartments.
Officers were dispatched to 216 Roosevelt Parkway for a call of shots fired around 11:05 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 28, according to a news release from JPD. Responding officers located a black male with a gunshot injury. The victim was transported by Emergency Medical Services to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation is ongoing.
