Health Dept. Confirms Two Additional COVID-19 Deaths, 130 New Cases in Madison County Since Friday, Sept. 24

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms two additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 287 in Madison County, according to a Tuesday morning news release. The newest deaths include:

  • 86-year-old male (died 9/22/21)
  • 92-year-old male (died 9/23/21)

The health department has received positive test results for 130 more cases of COVID-19 since Friday, Sept. 24, 2021. There is now a cumulative total of 17,619 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
