The Jackson Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating a homicide suspect, according to a Monday morning news release from the department.
JPD responded to a report of an assault taking place at 2051 Hollywood Drive around 9 p.m. Saturday, September 25.
Officers found Mary Kelly, a 70-year-old woman, unresponsive at the location. A witness told officers that Randall Lee Rose, a 58-year-old male, was assaulting Kelly and then fled the scene on foot into a wooded area between Old Hickory Boulevard and North Parkway.
The release said Rose is wanted for first-degree murder at this time.
Rose is described as a white male, 5 feet and 4 inches tall, and weighing approximately 180 pounds.
