United States Marshal Tyreece Miller announced Thursday the arrest of Julius Lamar Thompson, 19, for second-degree murder in Union City, Tenn.
Julius Thompson was allegedly involved in a shooting that resulted in the death of Tarius Lewis Saturday, September 11, 2021.
Union City PD issued a warrant for Thompson for second-degree murder, Tuesday, September 14. This case was adopted by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force in Jackson, Tenn.
The task force began searching locations for Thompson. Around 10 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, Thompson surrendered to the U.S. Marshals in Union City. Thompson is being held at the Obion County Sheriff’s Department.
“A fugitive investigation that results in a safe surrender is always the desired outcome of the Marshals Service,” said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller.
