Dear Christ Community Health Services Family, did you know, (Sept. 1) is our anniversary!
The principles and Christian beliefs of our visionary leaders manifested in 1995, over 26 years ago today, still reside within Christ Community Health Services. Drs. Rick Donlon, David Pepperman, Karen Miller, and Steve Besh opened the first location on South Third Street with a mission to provide high-quality healthcare to the underserved in the context of distinctively Christian service.
We are thankful today that we are now strategically located in economically deficient areas throughout the cities of Memphis and Jackson, Tennessee and have served over 2.426 million patients.
As we celebrate this significant milestone in Christ Community’s history, we will continue to frame every decision we make on our mission and values. Let us honor the patients and the community in which we serve and create an impressive future for those who will use our services in the future. And let this day serve as a celebration of Christ Community and how we continue to transform the health and well-being of our patients, employees, and the community. We look forward to another year of serving patients, providing programs and displaying exhibits that highlight our history and impact as the organization that has grown throughout the Region, and celebrating what makes Christ Community Health Services, Christ Community with all of you.
