Health Dept. Confirms Two Additional COVID-19 Deaths, 478 New Cases Since Friday, Aug. 27 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms two additional COVID-19 deaths, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the department. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 255 in Madison County. The newest deaths include:

  • 63-year-old male (died 8/28/21)
  • 66-year-old female (died 8/26/21)

The health department has received positive test results for 478 more cases of COVID-19 since Friday, Aug. 27, 2021. There is now a cumulative total of 15,208 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
