U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announced Wednesday evening the arrest of another suspect for the first degree murder of an 18-year-old murdered in the first week of June, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service.
The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Quadarious Greer for first degree murder Wednesday. Greer was tracked to an apartment at the 260 block of Moize Cut Off Road in Jackson, Tenn. He was taken into custody without incident.
Jackson Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting at 1341 North Parkway Friday, June 4, 2021, around 8:20 p.m.
When officers arrived they found 18-year-old Tanyarris Maxwell lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Maxwell was transported by EMS to Jackson Madison County General Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
JPD investigators charged Nicolas Ivie and Kevon Womack, two of the three suspects, responsible for Maxwell’s murder a week later.
A warrant for first degree murder was also issued for Quadarious Greer for the crime. The case was adopted by the Marshals Task Force.
Nicholas Ivie, 19, also had a first degree murder warrant for this crime. He was captured by the Marshals Task Force on Hwy. 79 in Gadsden, Tenn., June 9, 2021.

A third suspect in Maxwell’s murder, Kevon Womack, 21, was arrested and arraigned Friday, June 11, in Jackson City Court on first-degree murder charges, according to the Jackson Police Department.

“Our Task Force has been working diligently to capture both murder fugitives,” said Miller. “Our persistence has paid off, and I’m pleased we’re able to bring them both to justice.
The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force in the Western District of Tennessee with offices in Memphis and Jackson. Its membership is composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and Special Agents with the Tennessee Department of Correction.
