Health Department Confirms Additional COVID-19 Death, Cumulative Total of 11,558 Cases in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 73-year-old female died Apr. 10 due to complications from COVID-19, according to a Wednesday morning news release from the department. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 236 in Madison County.

The health department has received positive test results for four more cases of COVID-19 since June 23, 2021. There is now a cumulative total of 11,558 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
