NWS: Significant Weather Advisory Issued for Areas of West Tennessee

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued the following significant weather advisory for the following areas:

Southeastern Henderson County in western Tennessee…

Southern Decatur County in western Tennessee…

Northeastern McNairy County in western Tennessee…

Hardin County in western Tennessee…

 

At 1255 p.m., a strong thunderstorm producing winds in excess of 35 mph was located near Olive Hill, or 13 miles east of Savannah, moving west at 40 mph.

Very heavy rain, along with continuous cloud to ground lightning, are also possible with this thunderstorm.

People in southeastern Henderson…southern Decatur…northeastern McNairy and Hardin counties should monitor this storm closely.
