Memphis-U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest of the second of three male juveniles who had escaped from the Wilder Youth Development Center in Somerville, Tennessee.

The captured 17-year-old juvenile was being held at that facility on a charge of homicide. He escaped June 23, 2021 along with two other juveniles. Earlier Tuesday, he was captured without incident in Chattanooga, Tennessee by the U.S. Marshals Smokey Mountain Fugitive Task Force.

The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force continues to search for the last of the escaped juveniles. Another of the escapees was caught by the Two Rivers Task Force on June 24. He was being held on four charges of aggravated robbery.

Persons with information about the whereabouts of the last escaped juvenile are encouraged to call 901 590 6782.

“Two of the juveniles are safely in custody,” Miller said. “We are working diligently to capture the third.”
