Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect Caught by U.S. Marshals Task Force

JACKSON, Tenn. – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announced the arrest of Ambreia Washington Wednesday afternoon in a news release from the U.S. Marshal Service.

Washington was wanted by the Jackson Police Department for attempted first degree murder following a shooting at Royal Arms Apartments in Jackson, Tenn., where a person was shot once in the abdomen June 10, 2021.

Jackson Police Department issued a warrant June 14, 2021, and investigators with the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force in Jackson, Tennessee worked together to locate the fugitive.

Washington was tracked to an address at an apartment on Hollywood Drive Wednesday, June 23, 2021. He was found hiding in the apartment. He was taken into custody without further incident.

“Our priority is to keep our communities safe,” Miller said. “The Marshals Service will continue to meet the challenges of capturing the most dangerous fugitives.”
