Health Department Confirms Cumulative Total of 11,332 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 23 more cases of COVID-19, according to a Thursday morning news release from the department. There is now a cumulative total of 11,332 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

Eleven of these new cases reflect a data backlog from one local provider.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 15 to 75.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Two Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. None of these patients are on ventilators.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
