Health Department Confirms Additional COVID-19 Death, Cumulative Total of 11,014 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 67-year-old male died Mar. 17 due to complications from COVID-19, according to a Friday morning news release. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 213 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for three more cases of COVID-19. There is now a cumulative total of 11,014 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 38 to 61.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Three Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
