Health Department Confirms Four Additional COVID-19 Deaths, Cumulative Total of 11,011 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms four additional COVID-19 related deaths, according a Thursday morning news release from the department. This brings the total to 212 in Madison County. The newest deaths include:

  • 100-year-old female (Died 10/9/2020)
  • 61-year-old female (Died 11/15/2020)
  • 82-year-old female (Died 12/30/2020)
  • 100-year-old male (Died 1/22/2021)

The health department received positive test results for nine more cases of COVID-19. There is now a cumulative total of 11,011 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 1 to 71.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Three Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
