Health Department Confirms Five Additional COVID-19 Deaths, Cumulative Total of 11,002 Cases in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms five additional COVID-19 related deaths, according to a Wednesday morning news release from the department. This brings the total to 208 in Madison County. The newest deaths include:

  • 89-year-old male (died 11/26/2020)
  • 46-year-old male (died 11/27/2020)
  • 71-year-old male (died 12/6/2020)
  • 92-year-old female (died 12/11/2020)
  • 73-year-old female (died 1/23/2021)

The health department received positive test results for 13 more cases of COVID-19. There is now a cumulative total of 11,002 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 4 to 68.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Three Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
